FOUND ART
I purchased my first painting at a thrift store in Salmon Arm for $1. And so started my odyssey of finding, collecting, and loving lost art! On each thrift store hunt, I let my heart lead and purchased what moved me, all the while realizing that my small house would never be able to feature all of my collection.
Still, I purchased my art treasures, driven by the allure of giving these precious pieces a home. Each painting made me curious…I wondered not only who was the artist, but also who had owned it before it landed in a pile of discarded paintings at the thrift store.
Now I am able to give this lost art a permanent home – worthy of the heart and soul and creativity of all the artists who contributed. I hope you will enjoy the artwork as much as I do – I am thrilled to share it with you.
Let’s give it a new life and send it out into the world as your card and see what magical things happen!
About the Artist
My studio: My creative studio is my best Craigslist purchase – a vintage beach cottage costing $100 that I had moved from White Rock, to our acreage six hours away in the Shuswap region of beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
My materials: Lost art is FOUND! I have been purchasing my art treasures, driven by the allure of giving these precious pieces a home. Each painting made me curious about the artist and, while some were signed and dated, many were just mystery pieces. I wondered not only who was the artist, but also who had owned it before it landed in the pile of discarded picture frames at the thrift store, just waiting for me to rescue it and take it home.
Now I am able to give this lost art a permanent home – worthy of the heart and soul and the creativity of all the artists who contributed to my collection of Found Art. I hope you will enjoy the artwork as much as I do. I am thrilled to share it with you.

What my day looks like: When not dreaming and doing (on the computer) I love frequenting thrift stores for lost art (and other treasures) and picking up books at the library. A very latecomer to social media, I am embracing technology as my new best friend (thanks to my social media savvy friends).
My favourite quote: “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more, It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie.
